EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM OF JAMIA NIZAMIA AND ADMISSIONS

The aims and objects of Jamia are to educate the students in accordance with the syllabus prescribed and the method of  teaching in which the option of  the student  is given  precedence.

  The educational system of Jamia is divided into (4) stages.

In the first stage, a child is imparted primary education from 1st to 4th class. In this tertiary period a student is taught reading and writing in the mother tongue,  recitation of  the Holy Quran,basic principles of  Islam and simple mathematics, etc.

 In the second stage,there are 4 years of  middle school studies, from 5th to 8th class.  During this period Ethics , Theology , Social studies , Arabic and Persian grammar , correct intonation of recitation of the Holy Quran are taught. Besides this mathematics  , history , geography and general science is also taught.

The third stage is the purposeful collegiate studies based on 6 years studies which consists of the courses prescribed for Moulvi , Alim , and Fazil. Each requires two years studies. During this stage higher studies in Tafseer , Hadith , Fiqh , Aqaid Va Kalam , Logic and Philosophy ,Seerat and Arabic literature are studied.

  The fourth stage consists of  two years of  post graduation course. The students, after  completion of  the 3rd stage, are given admission to complete masters degree in any of  the specialized subjects i.e Tafseer , Hadith , Fiqh ,Philosophy and Islamic Studies.

Research center and admissions:-

  In this faculty research work can be undertaken on any one selected  subject under the  supervision of  any Shaikh of  this Jamia. The period for completion for research work is fixed  as  3 years.

  There  is a separate permanent faculty for memorizing the Holy Quran by recitation in correct  intonation and comprehension of  meaning.

ADMISSIONS:-

The academic year of Jamia starts from 9th Shawwal and ends with 15th Shaban and the admissions are kept open upto 15th Zikada.

1. For the 1st and 2nd stage of  studies admissions in  collegiate courses are given by   conducting the  eligibility  test.

2. Admissions are  given for completion of  collegiate courses on fulfillment of  the  following conditions.

(a) For Moulvi course, the student seeking admission should produce a certificate  from any recognized institution or should have  passed Arabic entrance test or test held to testify eligibility and capacity.

(b) For the Alim course those who have completed moulvi or equivalent exam  o r P.D.C in Arabic are given admissions.

(c) For the fazil course those who have completed Alim or its  equivalent exam or B.A or B.A.L  whose optional language or second language was Arabic or Islamic studies was his optional subject, are given admission.

  (d) For Kamil course only those who have completed fazil from Jamia Nizamia  are given admission.

3. In the faculty of ' Hifz ' students are given admission who can correctly recite  the Holy Quran by seeing and those who have memorized either Sura 'Baqra'  or the 30th volume of the Holy   Quran . The period prescribed for Hifz is three years. This  faculty is exclusively for memorization of  Holy Quran by   recitation with correct intonation and comprehension of  its meaning . One year  is for revision.
Candidates  are given admission for research work who have completed 'KAMIL' examination from this Jamia on any subject or equivalent qualifications.
